2.21 — The 27-point update
Twenty-seven fixes and wishes from the players in one go. Health that comes back on its own, items on the ground, a leaderboard, settings and much more.

Players sent a list of 27 things. Here is the first, bigger half.
Healing and energy
- Potions and food heal a share of your maximum health, so they keep up as you level. A health potion heals 20%, a greater one 40%.
- Your health comes back on its own, 1% every 3 seconds, once you have been out of a fight for 5 seconds.
- Energy refills faster standing still than walking, and faster again by a fire.
- A swing that hits several monsters costs a little more energy for each extra monster.
More experience
Cooking and Alchemy give twice the XP. Fishing gives half as much again.
Drop things, pick things up
Drop items on the ground and anyone nearby can pick them up. They vanish after 45 seconds and blink just before they go.
Know where you stand
- A leaderboard next to the market board: the top five in every skill, plus total level.
- An XP ring shows the skill you just trained and how far you are from the next level.
- Daily quests suggest the three closest things you can unlock next.
- Weapons show their damage range and speed in your backpack.
Settings
A new gear button: grass, particles, screen shake, damage numbers, player names and the XP ring can each be switched off.
The world
- The agility course in the Ruins is now a proper clockwise lap: pillars, wall, log, pond stones, arch.
- Living grass that sways in the wind and parts as you walk through it.
- Iron ore has rusty veins, so you can tell it apart at a glance.
- Torches and lamps no longer block half a corridor.
- Swords alternate a thrust and an overhead swing, and charged hits always come from above.
